The Surrealist's Manuscript is a biography detailing the life of Doctor Madison as they navigate through a post-pandemic landscape researching strange anomalies and internalizing the nature of what the world used to be, and how it got to now. Doctor Madison, being a high echelon of Tagonic Academia prior to the pandemic, undergoes and describes the changes of the world after its main superpower, the Tornun Republic, succumbs to the disease and collapses before their very eyes. Their experiences are detailed as discord throughout a collapsing nation including the separation between them and their family, relating the current events to past instances of corruption, misguidance, and propaganda between a previous superpower: the Xiqen Empire, and the latest Tornun Republic. Through their exploration they uncover an uncanny world where logic is dictated by chaos and portray the secrets of strange happenings known as anomalies, unusual changes in reality which have plagued the planet Ciphrus for centuries.
