Jev heard the quick movement of Dixon behind him and he waited a half a breath before rushing back only to see Dixon standing in front of an open door. "Nothing?"

"Well someone was hiding in here recently."

"What next?"

"Until we come across anything else I think we should hold a defensive position near the docking hatch."

The two men headed to the aft hatch; it was the likely point of entry because it was more vulnerable than the fore hatch. Dixon took point and Jev trailed closely. They closed in on the corridor where the hatch was located. Across from it was shuttle bay which had nothing of value at the moment. They listen for a number of seconds before either of them spoke.

"I don't see any activity but we should be cautious." Dixon's tone was hushed.

After a few minutes passed it was clear that the marauders had entered elsewhere. Jev signalled that he was going to take a closer look. Once he was closer he saw that the hatch was not in use. He could however, spy a portion of the other ship.

"So they docked at the other hatch."

"Yes."

"Let's go."

They moved through the ship silently with great care as to not run into any unexpected visitors. They closed in on where the other hatch on the ship was and could hear activity. There was a small guard placed of at least two that were visible from where Jev and Dixon held back. A moment later they could hear footsteps from an adjoining corridor that lead towards the bow of the ship. Wordlessly they retreated out of sight just as a couple of armed intruders passed by and turned down the passage from which Jev and Dixon came. The two men glanced at it each other nodded and then shadowed their next targets.
